We are moving ahead of the older generations of Adam, fast and in strange ways. This is most true of the last few decades. Things that lived in films and cartoons years ago are now in the news. Some are already products on the market.
Some people think this progress is right for Adam, even needed. Others disagree completely. Our view and our worry here is the Earth. We believe science and technology must serve the health of Adam. And the health of his home, the Earth. If not, that step was not right for Adam’s path in this game.
Have you ever thought about this? Everything we own is made from materials taken from this same Earth. There is a process and a plan. Then there is a product. It runs from a simple pencil and paper to today’s most advanced technology. Who knows what that is right now? And what could it be tomorrow?
This is strange. Left in the Earth, these raw materials sit side by side and harm nothing. They are part of the ecosystem, and they even complete it. But when we combine them with our inventions, they harm the ecosystem. Maybe these combinations do not suit the Earth. Maybe other combinations give the same result with far less harm, or none.
So we think the law should look at this for every new invention. An invention that harms the Earth more than it helps Adam should not go public. It should not reach the markets.
Artificial intelligence helps us a lot today. But its hardware is seriously harming the Earth. Few people know this. Almost everyone uses it.
Digital currencies spare us the making of metal and paper money. They spare us its many troubles too. But only if they replace that money, not sit beside it. These virtual coins need electricity to stay in circulation.
Using the Earth’s natural energy for electricity is very useful. Water, wind and sunlight all work. But making batteries to store that electricity still does harm. The way these batteries are built needs a serious rethink. Or this electricity should not need storing at all. Take it from nature and use it directly.
On the other hand, satellites have helped a lot in recent years. They carry messages and raise Adam’s awareness. But every year they do serious harm to the ozone layer. That is only part of their harm. Then information and knowledge will cure nothing for the children of Adam. Adam first needs oxygen and a healthy place to survive. Progress and the exchange of information come after.
Robots have helped Adam in every field. They have made life easier in a way. But their manufacture comes on top of other products. It adds harm to the old harm. So robots should replace, not add. And not in every task and every step of this game. Otherwise Adam fades out of the game. These same robots would then form the societies, not our children.
Please put the health of the Earth first. Do this in every field you work in. Do it in every step and decision you take as part of a team. In truth, it is your own health. If the Earth’s illness becomes severe, Adam will fall ill too. That illness may have no cure.
Our main and constant suggestion is planting trees. Trees can heal much of the pain of the Earth and of Adam.
